First just a quick disclaimer, the video below is mostly from my Canon 5Dmk2 — the audio is from the onboard microphone and not good (maybe 5/10). I do have a reasonable decent sounding audience recording from a Zoom H1 that will at some point get sync-ed. (my soundboard recording on Zoom H4n however failed at this gig).
The 5Dmk2 video is not great. It was mostly shot on a 85mm lens (body+lens weight: 1.9Kg) with no image stabilization. I don’t think I will use this combo again without a tripod as it’s too jittery and too hard to handhold steadily. The focus sweet spot is also very unforgiving at f/1.8 with manual focus. I was hoping to use this inter-cut with audience cameraphone footage.
A few videos were shot on iPhone 8 Plus (onboard audio is much better).
